Have you ever been to a museum in Korea?

With my experience visiting museums and exhibitions, I highly recommend also checking out the Museum Shop! The souvenir shop at the museum used only to sell simple things like postcards or souvenirs, right?😂

But these days, the National Museum Cultural Foundation has released a lot of amazing goods.🔥

National museums have recently been introducing trendy goods that extend art and history beyond the confines of their displays and into everyday life. These items, which blend traditional and modern design with practicality, serve as a new form of exhibition.

In this issue, I'm going to introduce museum items🎁 that are very popular with the MZ generation.

The 'Gat Keyring' is a resin craft inspired by the elegance of traditional Korean gat hats.

Featuring beads and glitter that catch the light and sparkle beautifully, this piece showcases a unique design that seamlessly blends tradition with modernity. Its exceptional craftsmanship makes it highly valuable and a perfect choice for a gift.🎁

Since it's a product made from a gat that embodies the spirit of the scholars, it feels kind of hip, doesn't it?🕶️

(I’m thinking of picking one up when I visit the National Museum of Korea this time!)

The museum goods that have long been seen as dull and outdated by the MZ generation now feel quite hip, don't they?🤩 I never imagined there would be such amazing products when I started writing this issue, and my cart is already filled with items!🛍️

Touch Touch Touch Touch Touch... Thought about you way too much much…🎶

This song had been all over my fyp lately. Did you hear it before?🎧

KATSEYE’s latest track, Touch, is from the pop girl group that was formed through the global audition [The Debut: Dream Academy], in partnership with HYBE and Geffen Records.💿

They’re the first group to come out of HYBE’s U.S. training program that blends K-pop’s rigorous training methods with a focus on the pop music scene.

Their debut album, SIS (SOFT IS STRONG), made waves by entering the Billboard 200 chart at #119, showcasing the potential of this rising group.

🔴 On NETFLIX, you can watch the documentary that captures the behind-the-scenes moments of their debut. It's titled "Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE."

The documentary covers everything from the global auditions that drew 120,000 applicants from around the world to the intense training and evaluation process of the participants in "The Debut: Dream Academy". You’ll see all the challenges they faced and the amazing moments that led to their debut.

(I was really impressed by this documentary.🥹)

It was unfamiliar at first to see the foreign trainees undergoing 12 hours of intense Korean-style training, from 8 AM to 8 PM.

But as I kept watching, I really appreciated how KATSEYE’s journey to becoming a global pop girl group wasn’t just about the glitz and glam.

It gave me a deeper understanding of the hard work, sacrifices, and growth they went through behind the scenes.🫧

The leader of KATSEYE is Sophia.

She took on the role of a mother figure to the trainees, and many of them relied on her.

Her dedication, persistence, and talent ultimately led her to debut.

From the very first episode, I could see why she’s the leader of this group.

💬"It's not just about having the style they want here.

The reason we’re here is to fit together like puzzle pieces, and that depends on how well we match with each other.

That group can say, 'This piece doesn’t fit,' and you might be removed at any time. But that doesn’t mean the piece was wrong.”

When one of the original members of the audition group was eliminated during a monthly evaluation, Sofia's words to comfort the remaining members must have meant so much.

When the girls running toward their dreams find it hard to cope with the pain of parting, When they can’t be sure if the path they’re on is truly the one they want,

How encouraging those words must have been for the trainees?🥲

Despite facing intense competition and conflicts, they overcame challenges through teamwork and friendship. Watching the members, each with their own unique personalities and backgrounds, pursue their dreams in their own way, I found myself naturally drawn to them and became a fan.💍

Seeing their hard work, passion, and growth made me feel genuinely happy.😚

Can you believe it’s almost September already? Time flies so fast ㅜㅜ.

I can’t believe fall is about to start (even though it’s still pretty hot, haha😅).

💭When you think of fall, what comes to mind first?

For me, it’s the thought of packing a lunch and heading to Hangang Park or Seoul Forest for a picnic now that the weather’s getting cooler. Plus, we won’t have to worry as much about mosquito bites, lol.
