Their signature dessert, the Sanbangsan Cake, is a must-try for both your eyes and taste buds! 🍓 While they do have brunch options, the real highlight is their desserts, so make sure to indulge!

When you visit Jeju, there are some must-try dishes, right? Black pork, meat noodles, and more… All of them are delicious, but if I had to recommend one, it would be braised cutlassfish! 😋
Eating tender cutlassfish with a sprinkle of broth over fluffy rice is absolutely exquisite! Plus, they serve boneless cutlassfish, so you won’t have to fuss with the bones! It might look spicy in photos, but it has a sweet and slightly spicy flavor that anyone would love. The whole cutlassfish grilled is also prepared without bones, making it a perfect flavor to pair with rice or drinks! 🍚🍶

As the year comes to a close, one of the most anticipated moments for K-pop fans is the special stages! 🌟 Especially, the collaboration stages with different artists spark new discussions and become the highlights of the performances each year. Aren’t you already excited about the combinations that will be born on the year-end stages in 2024?🤩Today’s newsletter will introduce the collaboration stages of K-pop artists that heated up this year-end. Let’s take a look at the performances that captured fans' hearts!

One of the most anticipated stages for K-pop fans this year must have been the collaboration between aespa’s Karina and IVE’s Yujin! 🎤 With both of them being perfect leaders who excel in vocals, dance, and visuals, this joint performance is definitely something to be excited about. And the song choice? “Killer”! Karina has a sharp visual that reminds us of a cat, paired with a captivating voice, while Yujin brings a soft visual that evokes a puppy, along with a gentle voice. Their harmony feels fresh and uniquely different. Isn’t this the reason why K-pop fans look forward to year-end performances? 😭 Notably, their expressions during the performance were also impressive. It was simply irresistible…

The performance of the maknae members from BOYNEXTDOOR, ZEROBASEONE, TWS, and NCT WISH at the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon with “Love Me Right” was a highlight of the year-end celebrations! 🎉 It was a reinterpretation of EXO's iconic hit by a new generation of artists, perfectly capturing the individuality and energy of each group. They maintained the refreshing and vibrant atmosphere of the original song while adding their youthful charm. The way they showcased teamwork by utilizing each group's strengths in the performance provided the audience with a delightful freshness. The free-spirited charm of BOYNEXTDOOR, the stylish vibe of ZEROBASEONE, the energetic performance of TWS, and the strong presence of NCT WISH came together to create a stage that transcended a simple cover. 💖 Watching the maknaes care for each other and share energy was so heartwarming, and the camera work and lighting enhanced the emotional impact of the performance. Just like the lyrics of “Love Me Right,” it truly felt like they were delivering love to fans as the year came to a close. If you missed it, I highly recommend watching it again! This stage was the best gift showcasing how bright the future of K-pop is. Anyone who loves music will surely enjoy it!

What about STAYC’s cover of KARA’s “Mr.”? STAYC’s unique confident and bright vibe blends perfectly with KARA’s iconic song, creating even greater synergy! 🎶 All the members used handheld microphones to deliver a flawless live performance, and they even recreated the signature outfits (overalls) and props (fingerless gloves), taking everyone back to that time. The members of STAYC insisted on perfectly replicating the outfits and props, showcasing their respect for the senior group. While STAYC's live skills are already well-known, seeing them perform a cover with ad-libs live brought smiles to K-pop fans everywhere. I hope STAYC comes back with this kind of vibe!  

What about a JYP group covering an SM song? Just this idea makes K-pop fans' hearts race! 💖 NMIXX, a representative 4th generation idol from JYP, covered F(x)’s “Electric Shock,” a song still known as a classic from SM. I think the common keyword for both groups is “uniqueness.” This concept is not commonly found in girl groups, making NMIXX's choice of cover the perfect selection. The intro’s catchy rap in “Electric Shock” immediately grabs the listener’s ears, and NMIXX's Kyujin delivered it flawlessly! As expected, NMIXX never disappoints!

Did you know that TWS released their first single album on November 25? 🎵 The title track, “Last Festival,” is a song that wraps up the year with excitement and nostalgia. The editor often listens to it! But did you know this song is actually a reinterpretation of “Last Festival” released by the original idol group, SeoTaiji and Boys, back in 1993?
So, at this year-end stage, TWS covered the original song “Last Festival” by Seo Taiji. TWS’s refreshing voices brought a different atmosphere to the song, and the 1990s-inspired outfits added to the fans’ enjoyment!

Year-end is a special time for K-pop fans. The annual year-end stages are filled with artists' creativity and love for fans, marking the end of one year while hinting at new beginnings. This year, we were able to glimpse the infinite possibilities of K-pop through various collaborations and reinterpretations. I hope the stages introduced today remain special memories for both fans and artists, rather than just one-time performances.
